waiting patiently




    bent wheel broken leg we was never meant to carry humans

    so tired so tired so tired of all these always onlys

    when was it that we became what you needed

    all we were is what you needed

    all I am is what you needed

    all we are are what we needed when the moment wasn't listening

    turning pages moving reels who was never meant for changing?

    so tired so tired so tired of all these always onlys

    who was I to name my future?

    who was I to call for crossroads?

    who was I to speak for silence as if I knew what it was thinking?

    Patience only costs you if you aren't willing to pay

    Patience only needs you if you aren't offering an arm

    Patience shouldn't care if I keep going

    but so much so when so here

    are all these always onlys

    and I'm the one who invited them in anyway
